Back to School: Fall READING List

FALL READING LIST.png

I love to read. Since I was young, I have sat down and absorbed entire books in a day. As I got older, I slowed down a little bit - it’s harder for me to get super into a book, but when I do, I sit down and read the whole thing. This summer, I set a goal to start reading more. And, I’m happy to say that I’ve accomplished it! I’ve read several books this summer, and each one taught me something new. It’s so inspiring to learn from entrepreneurs and authors.

Reading is an amazing way to stimulate your mind, learn (you can learn anything from books!), grow your vocabulary… it’s one of the best ways to promote your own growth and mindset.

(If you don’t read books, you should start reading books!)

  1. Girl, Wash Your Face (Rachel Hollis)

Duh! If you followed me during my trip to Italy and Greece this July, you know I was voraciously reading Rachel Hollis’ other book, Girl, Stop Apologizing. The second I finished that book, I ordered Girl, Wash Your Face on Amazon. It's the first on my list, can’t wait to dive back into Hollis’ writing and gaining so much motivation and inspiration from her.

If you want to set a reading goal for the fall but have no clue where to start, start with Girl, Stop Apologizing. You will fall in love with Rachel Hollis and her writing, and gain so much - promise!

  2. Big Magic (Elizabeth Gilbert)

Have you heard of this book? I’ve heard amazing things, and have yet to begin reading. It was a huge mistake not bringing this book on my trip - I finished my other two so quickly, I had nothing to read! Can’t wait to start reading, to see what everyone’s raving about.
Fun Fact: Elizabeth Gilbert is also the author of Eat Pray Love, one of my favorite fiction books from the last couple years! If you haven’t read it, you need to.

  3. Superfans (Pat Flynn)

Pat Flynn’s newest book was just released. This week! I just placed the order on Amazon, and can’t wait to get it because the reviews are phenomenal. Like always, I’m expecting to learn and be inspired by Flynn.

  4. The Cuckoo’s Calling (Robert Galbraith)

Finally, something that isn't non-fiction. I love to learn and grow through reading, but something it’s just so satisfying and relaxing to read a fiction book. Written by J.K. Rowling under the pen name Robert Galbraith, this book is crime fiction - my favorite. I love deep, dark fiction books. Send me recommendations!

  5. Everything is Figureoutable (Marie Forleo)

The second book written by Marie Forleo, the creator of B-School! I had heard of B-School, but wasn’t familiar with the creator until I heard her on Rachel Hollis’ podcast. So looking forward to dive into this book!!

Can’t wait to update with my thoughts on all these books! What are you reading this fall?
