Who here is in the midst of “Fall Mode?” Big sweaters, comfy scarves, boots, and PUMPKIN?
It’s a fad, and a huge debate every single year. Some people love it, others hate it. If you’re a pumpkin person - you know that everything comes in pumpkin around this time. Pumpkin muffins, lattes, and donuts line the shelves and take over Starbucks and every cafe.

But, these are all unhealthy things. Pumpkin, in this sense, is a treat - and often a treat that us gluten-free & celiac people can’t indulge in. But, even the gluten-free pumpkin lattes and coffees and muffins are unhealthy.

Note: I don’t have a big sweet tooth, so I never add sweetener to my smoothies. If you want yours a little sweeter, try adding a small amount of honey, two dates, or use sweetened almond milk.
